Quoted £190 across the head of the sheet; deposit £60, reference 7403, delivery promised the middle of March. Under other details: “assembling bike from parts off Carlton” and “chain hook to stay” — a frame built to take the running gear off the customer’s existing machine, which is why the finish boxes are empty. A telephone number is written into the address block and is not recorded here.
