Untraced

“531c” is written across the head of the sheet and delivery was promised “ASAP”; no year appears anywhere, so the order carries only its day, “7 March”. Next to the brake-eyes entry a little diagram of a brake stop is drawn with “STOP” and “& c/stay” beside it. The attachment page is a rough pencil working sheet for the same build: S.T. 23" 73°, T.T. 22⅛" (a 22¼" figure struck out) 72°, chainstays 16½", sloped fork crown, micro cast lugs, “build for poker guards”, Campag ends, lever bosses on the down tube, bottle boss on the D/T, gear-cable eyes on the bottom bracket (“D/T” struck out), brake cable eyes on the top tube, gear cable eye on the chain stay, chain hook on the seat stay, and a bottom-bracket height corrected from 10¾" to 10⅞". It goes on to parts: chainrings 40/50, cranks 175 mm, crank centre to toe clip 11", and a queried “silver solder?”, with small sketches at the foot; a few rubbed-over lines at its top right are illegible.
