Frame
14853
No date appears anywhere on the sheet, so the year cannot be given, and the deposit and delivery lines are blank. “700c” is written and underlined at the head. The cable stops at 45° on the tops are marked for a Sturmey 5, a five-speed hub gear on a 531 frame. The first word of the finish is read from a fast hand as Mercian, as in the Derby builder's colour, but could as easily be Mexican; the sheet is quoted as written.
