“(As 81140)” is written under the date, tying the order to an earlier frame; the green enamel is likewise pinned to a sample, “as ‘Aero Compe box’”. The frame number itself carries a correction, a trailing character struck or written over. The page is crossed through with “SOLD” scrawled across the finish, and a signature runs across the foot.
