83226
“Complete Cycle” is written above the printed title and “MIXTE.” shares the frame number box; a £30-00 deposit was taken. The date line reads only “25 Oct”, but the attached build list is dated 30.11.83, which fixes the year. Against TYPE OF CROWN is written “Sloping (as mine)” — the crown was to match the writer's own machine. The attachment is a ticked, priced build list totalling £160: Campag Gran Sport gear, Ultra-6 block (13-15-18-21-26-32) and chain, Randonneur bars on a short stem, a Madison Ladies saddle (“own” struck out), Weinmann 500 brakes with hoods, a chainset custom modified for small rings, pedals to fit mini clips, narrow silver ESGE guards, a stem-mounted lever, SR seat pillar, black Blackburn carrier, large-flange Campag Nuovo Tipo Q.R. hubs with stainless spokes, Wolber Invulnerable 25 tyres (read from “Walber”), black tape and a Stronglight headset. A number on the address line reads as a telephone number. The name is read as Carole Hackland; both words are from a fast hand and the surname could as easily be Haekland or Hockland.
