Frame
8724
The first of two frames ordered by the same customer on the same day; 8725 is the other. The attachment page is a pencil geometry sketch on lined paper: the top tube marked “22¼ middle to middle”, a queried seat angle “73.5°?” against a head angle of “73°”, the seat tube “23" top of top tube”, and a stay dimension beginning “16"” with its figures scribbled over, ending “to end of tube start of drop out with short campag”, the word “long” struck out. Sideways in its margin is written “531 C. Sprint Clearance only.” The sketch angles differ from the 74 / 73 on the sheet. A deposit is recorded simply as “Yes”, and the surname could as easily be MacDonell as Macdowell.
