Dated 28.8.85 with the FRAME No. box left empty — hence the question marks. The trailing 10 in the filename is David's, not Sid's: the sheet is August and carries no number at all, so nothing on it means ten. A LETTER suffix on purpose. The unnumbered keys are generated as u85-1, u85-2 and so on, so any number pinned by hand here is one more scan away from colliding with a generated one — as u85-1 did the moment 85???.tif appeared. Letters are outside that series and always will be. Better still, rename this to ??85.tif on the drive and it keys itself, and this entry can go. Its telephone number is on the address line rather than in a corner, so the standard box catches it.
