No number
No frame number was ever filled in. This was a complete bicycle: the attached page is a costed build list on the shop’s “lightweight cycles Sid Standard” letterhead — Superbe frame (Cinelli lugs) 531 C at £275, 105 eight-speed wheels on Mavic rims, Rolls saddle, Campag Athena pillar, Cinelli bars and stem, 105 STI levers and chainset, SPD pedals, Bluemels guards, Blackburn carrier and a Specialized computer, every line struck through as it was ticked off, with totals reworked around £1,273–£1,318. Transfers were to be the head tube badge and 531 transfers. Delivery promised “Easter”, deposit 100.00. A telephone number follows the town on the address line, and the maker’s name in “Cinelli B/B shell” is spelt oddly on the sheet.
