“Replacement — close clearance”, written across the head of the sheet. Same customer, same address and the same purple flake with white lining as 0786 earlier in the year, so this is that bicycle built again with tighter clearances; no date, delivery or deposit was entered, which fits a frame replaced rather than sold. Under type of crown “cheap” is written and then scored out.

Brazed on: Gear lever clip pip, TA bottle cage bosses and a second set. No gear lever bosses, no h’bar control eyes, no lamp boss, no pump pegs, no centre-pull brake bridge.
Finish: Dark purple flake, lugs lined white, white transfers
