Frame
82114
A ledger page marked “Order rec'd 12-5-82” and “Sprints only”, with “SOLD” written very large across the lower half and the specification crossed through. The angles were first entered as “74° 74°”, struck out, and rewritten as “73° 73°” above; the fork rake is overwritten and could be ½" rather than ¼". The customer's first name is an unusual reading, “Gooley”, from a clear capital G that could as easily be a C, and the leading digit of the frame size sits in the gutter of the binding, read as 2. A telephone number is written beneath the address, and a signature reading “S Standard” sits at the foot.
