Sid Standard, 1931–2003. Most Superbe frames were brazed by Pete Riches, formerly of Mercian. The shop on Chilwell Road is now Cycle Inn, and carries a blue plaque. More about the shop.
The sheets are published as Sid wrote them, which is how an owner recognises their own frame. Most were written more than thirty years ago and some carry what was then a customer’s address or telephone number. On a sheet here and would rather not be? Say so and it comes down the same day, no reason needed.
