Untraced

“Columbus S/L” is written above the printed heading. Deposit recorded as “YES (7617)”, which looks like a receipt number; no delivery date was promised. The attachment page is a costed build list held to “£450-00 MAX” underlined: Simplex gear levers, Cyclone MkII gears, 600 brakes and chainset, Miche black pedals, toeclips and straps, a Laprade seat pin, a white Turbo saddle, Cinelli bars and stem (66 x 42), Sedis chain, Ribbon bar tape, the frame at £185 and wheels built up from parts, most items ticked off, totalling £446.00 with “£500” scrawled beside the sum. The surname is read from a fast hand and could as easily be Woodiweiss.
