No year appears anywhere on the sheet — the date received box is empty and delivery is promised simply as “July 5”, so the year and order date are omitted. “531C Tubing” and “700c” are written across the head of the sheet. The attachment is a full build list with the customer's name underlined at its side: ESGE GDS silver mudguards, a triple chainset written as “Stronglite 99”, Suntour Ultra 6 block, Sedis silver chain, Shimano Deore cantilevers, Weinmann brake levers and hoods, Cyclone MkII gears (GT rear), SR Laprade seat pillar, Madison saddle, SR Randonneur bars and 70–80 SR stem, Grab-On grips, SR platform pedals with Christophe clips and Binda straps, a black front low-rider and black rear carrier, and wheels of Campag Record small-flange hubs, Super Champ 700c rims, stainless DB spokes, Marathon belted tyres and Michelin tubes; a “NEEDED” list beneath has block, saddle, rear carrier and 28T ring struck through, leaving the front carrier. The surname is read from a fast hand and could as easily be Gilby; the chainset maker written “Stronglite” is presumably Stronglight, but it is transcribed as written.
