The top of the sheet is torn away, taking the printed title, the whole name line and the date column with it, and the surviving handwriting sits high against the printed lines, so some placements here are read by sense rather than by the form. Of the address only “…stle Donington, Derbys” remains — Castle Donington — and a Derby telephone number is written across the frame-number line, the frame number itself sitting on the model line below; the customer's name is lost with the tear. “Check clearance” is noted against the B.B. set, and the chrome line reads “Bottom” followed by an unclear word and “14″”. The transfers line reads “varnish” with the word after it lost to a flourish of the hand. No date or deposit survives anywhere on what remains of the sheet.
