Not Sid's number. This form has no FRAME No. field at all and the DATE RECEIVED line was left blank, so there is nothing on the page to key it by; 840125 is the filename on the drive and reads like a date, 25 January 1984. Keyed as unknown-1984 rather than published as though 840125 were stamped in a bottom bracket — see 0089, same principle. A LETTER suffix, because u84-1 and anything after it are generated and a hand-pinned number in that series is one scan away from colliding. The 1984 comes from the filename and nothing confirms it: worth checking against whatever this was scanned from. Superbe, 23in, Campag Record, silver with blue-lined lugs.
